Some Ways to Reduce Tax and Increase Your Income
By Mary Mukami Gachonde

Paying tax is compulsory in almost every country, state or region. Every individual has to pay tax in one way or the other. The money acquired in taxation is extremely important in the economy of every country. This money is used in road construction, building of schools and hospitals. Without taxation, such development could become quite impossible and people could face many problems such as medical services and transportation. This could eventually lag the country behind in development.

You may ask yourself why and for what purpose do you need to reduce tax? The answer is simple and straight forward. People who earn more pay high tax while those who earn low pay less. You really need to reduce your income and save the hundred dollars you loose on taxation each year. You can save more money through a 401(k) retirement plan. If the money for 401k contribution is deducted directly from your paycheck, there will be no taxation. Other alternatives to retirement plan are the tax-deductible tradition.

Make donations to charity. If the donations are goods, they should be in good condition in order to qualify for the deduction and avoid tax bill. Start a small business pension plan for your employees to get a tax credit of up to 500 dollars in each of the first three years of your plan. Tax credit is deducted directly from the taxes you owe and, not from your gross profit.

Apply for reduction in council tax if you are disabled or live with a disabled person. However, in order for you to qualify for this type of debt reduction, you must have one of the following requirements in your home. Your house should have extra space to allow for the use of the wheelchair, an additional bathroom and kitchen with the needs of a disabled person and, an extra room required to meet the needs of a disabled person.
